ID-CD™ has the power to connect a traditional CD directly to the internet. Each individual disc is transcribed with a unique and invisible key code which is machine readable. It is this key code that then exploits the known and widely accepted methods of direct marketing. For example, the key code can easily replace the traditionally used logon and password to access personalised web-content. Also the code allows you to track response. This is an ideal way for implementing one-2-one communications and incentivising through added value offers.

ID-CD™ promotes the cross-selling potential of 'point-of-sale' with tailored and highly personalised offers based on known transactional data. The unique key code can be tracked on-line by marketing departments in real-time.

The unique number on every single ID-CD™ can store alpha numeric data of up to 240 characters. So for every enquiry you can track country, region, postcode, promotion channel and date of enquiry.

The ID-CD™ also takes alternative forms. Marketers can choose from traditional 12cm discs, the smaller 8cm discs, or the reliable ID-CARD™. For cross-sell and retention activity as well as re-activation of lapsed customers, the ID-CARD™ can be personalised on the face with customers names and/or membership numbers (URN). This can be directly linked to individual offers based upon previous spend or through other forms of transactional analysis. The ID-CARD™ takes loyalty cards to a new level. Combine the conventional loyalty card with a CD in a business card look that is digitally printed - to fit in any wallet or purse!

Example one:

Rather than sending a traditional printed brochure to all its customers and prospects, a holiday company sends out a CD (ID-CD™) incorporated in a typical direct mailing pack.

The CD carries a URN (Invisible Machine Readable Key Code). The customer inserts the CD in the drive of his or her PC (at home or at work) and is then taken automatically through to a personalised page on the holiday company's website.

"Welcome Mr Smith to your own page on our website. We are pleased to present you with a number of specially selected holidays tailored to your own specification, together with a number of personalised offers."

The holiday company can then track each and every response from source.

Example two:

A mail order company sends out a ID-CD™ disc as part of its mailing programme (in addition or in replacement of a printed brochure).

Once the recipient loads the disc into the drive of his or her PC, they are taken to a personalised part of the website that details all previous orders and highlights special offers/targeted promotions aimed at up-sell and cross-sell.

Example three:

An internet service provider is running a promotion.

The company hands out ID-CD™ discs at special events nationwide, cover mounts on a trade magazine, distributes through the retail trade and mails out to its national database of customers and prospects.

Without using the ID-CD™ the company would have to rely upon the recipient finding a 10 character promotion code located somewhere within the pack, visiting the website and inputting the code to access the offer of 'three months free trial'.
